Nice Week

Well that was a nice week of good stuff by NBC.Deal or No Deal will definitely be back as it was a fun and well crafted show even though I later learned that it is not original as a similar version airs overseas.Howie Mandel is a good host and I liked the way he kept things moving yeah the commercial breaks sucked but overall he did a good job and I look forward to seeing him back whenever the show returns.

I watched a bit of rather a lot of Everwood recently and I realised I really like this show, pity the WB has put it on an insane hiatus of 2 months in favor of a reality show??? wonder what these people are thinking, Everwood is one of the best dramas on any network but is getting abused by it own network whick is a pity. This week and next week will be re run hell and the usual crappy x-mas movies so if you don't see a new post this year merry x-mas and happy new year hopefully this coming year will kick ass. Good day and Good night.

Deal or No Deal, sad news , Good news

Well again my new favourite show was on fire as usual. It was nice to see the woman win over $200k that was sweet no way can you turn down $200k, then the next dude was so unlucky he kept on opening huge amounts making the banker not feel worried about him having any big sum in his suitcase.Unfortunately the dude was a gambler and turned down numerous deals as he caught fire and went on a rush were he opened several cases with less money, the final deal he took was for $99k.Interesting thing about all these contestants the suitcases they have picked have all had small amounts of money so far the biggest loser is the first contestant who was so excited and fun that I felt for her when she was forced to take the $25k she was a great sport though.I like the way Howie Mandel is hosting he is not doing a lot of crap and saying too much nonesense, he is sticking to the main parts which are......Deal or No Deal?

In other news James Dungy son of Tony Dungy of the colts was found dead and reports are it was suicide. What a tough blow to take a couple of days before christmas. This will probably be the worst christmas for Tony Dungy.I hate to speculate about suicide deaths coz you never know what demons someone was fighting, I have lost a good friend to suicide which left me asking myself why ,why ,why did he chose to end his life? well the answer or answers are unknown to me atleast all I can say is I was a great friend to him as he was to me.Hopefully Tony will get over this although does one really get over losing your own flesh and blood? who knows. The colts will probably massacre the next team they play so whoever you are prepare for a beating.History shows that when there is a lot of emotion involved expect the unexpected.May God be with you Tony.

With all the crap Kobe went through, again no one really knows what happened in Colorado you cannot question the talent this man has. 62 pts in 3 quarters.....the Mavs had no answer as he tore them up!!!. Kobe must smile when he sees the Mavs in the schedule coz he just lights them up all the time.I had little hope my Lakers would do anything this year but so far so good.If Phil can get them to the playoffs I think he will have done wonders.Considering its only Kobe, Odom and Devean George with experience in the playoffs it would be an achievement indeed. If the Lakers somehow make the finals in my opinion Phil will be the greatest coach of all time whether they win or not.Have a good one everyone cya tomorrow.......

Deal or No Deal, House

This show has me hooked right now, its like a drug at the moment. In this episode we saw an unlucky dude walk off with a cool $189,000 after turning down $240,000 he went on a rush where he opened 13 suitcases all under $10,000, talk about being en fuego!. As I watched this episode I tried to think of what was hooking me so much to this show and I came up with a few things. For one the host is good, Howie Mandel is not over the top and annoying as some other hosts are.For two the format with the banker is brilliant, especially the way he ups the deals to make you really think before bellowing NO DEAL!. For three the contestants, they are so excited that you can't help yourself but to wish them good luck and ache when they open a suitcase with a lot of money also when they refuse big big money and opt to continue opening suitcases.Sometimes am not even thinking about the money, I know , I know its all about money but am often finding myself riding the emotional rollercoaster with the contestants for example the woman who is now competing is so excited and hopeful but she keeps on opening suitcases with big numbers which is making the banker happy am sure hehe. I wonder if we will see a contestant make the banker sweat, like have 4 cases left with $200k -$1mill still up for grabs the deals he would offer would be sick, sick ,sick as I said yesterday I can hardly wait for the next episode, it will suck when the run ends but it will definitley be back as the ratings are pretty good so far so fingers crossed it's ratings hold for the duration.

House was a repeat, fortunately I had not watched this episode so it was all good. For once House actually questioned whether he had made a mistake which was interesting coz in his opinion he is never wrong! the moment where the hot doc gave him a x-mas present was awkward but dramatic just by the way they looked at each other. Its funny how House keeps on keeping her at bay but at the same time has feelings for her although it will be a cold ,cold day in hell before he admits it.

Its a good thing that deal or no deal is on coz these re runs really suck unless ofcourse you haven't watched the episodes before. The only question that needs to be asked is DEAL or NO DEAL............................

Deal or No Deal, RMA'S

Well after the itsy bitsy hiatus am back with hopefully a good show in Deal or No Deal. I must say I expected just another millionaire fiasco, however I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Howie Mandel is a great host and the first episode was awesome. The contestant was lively and fun even though she turned down the $138,000 offer she went for it all, it sucked to see her lose that dough but it was very very entertaining. The format of the show is brilliantly crafted with the sinister looking banker shrouded in darkness! what a nice touch. It was funny to hear the woman say she had a bad feeling about suitcase number 8 and lo and behold she was correct as it eradicated the $500,ooo from the board.I specifically like the part where the banker calls Howie with the offers the suspense of waiting to hear the numbers is pure magic! I sincerely hope this show is here to stay and comes back next year, so far so good the ratings from last night were solid, hopefully it keeps these numbers up and continues upwards, I can't wait for tonights episode!!

The RMA's were not too shabby, there were some great performances like Snoop, Michael Buble, the Pussycat dolls the lead singer is obscenly hot!!, Ricky Martin was also good, now if any of these awards would get their act together and have James Blunt perform it would be great, hope the grammy's give him a chance. It was also nice to see Gavin Degraw also do his thing, he should also get more chances to perform at these shows he is a good singer. Is there a sexier voice than Jamie Pressly??? wow.Anyone else think that Mariah Carey is trying a lil bit too hard to shove her globes down our throats? now as a guy am not complaining its just that at all these shows her globes are on full display, also I like the curvy look she has going, I like a girl with some curves not all skin and bones like a certain heiress?? I will never understand why many girls think looking like sticks is the way to be. Although the print media is to blame these mags make the girls have low self esteem they start to feel fatter and uglier even though they are not.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.Till tomorrow........NO DEAL.

Bad Bad O.C

I was happy to find out that yesterday's episode of the O.C was an original one.Unfortunately it may has well have been a re run, remember a few posts back I said that the writing of this show was deteriorating? in my opinion I was correct. This episode sucked what with the hobbling dude wanting to rob a liquor store? chrismikabarmitzvika? I mean WTF? sigh.New writers are needed or something coz this episode was a joke. Atleast previews of next week's episode look interesting with Marissa's sister coming to cause havoc, this is a good and well timed idea as the show was getting poorer and wacker each week, nice to see some drama for once. One good thing atleast they have cut down on is Seth saying dumb stuff all the time, it was getting old.In other news Marissa is quite a beauty almost flawless face plus for a former or still model she acts quite well.Funny when I first saw the first episode of this show I thought it would be like 90210 but upon further review nothing will ever compare to 90210 no sir.No E.R sucked as it was the finale of The Apprentice which I stopped watching after the first season.
That's all folks see ya later.............

House, Boston Legal

House was superb yesterday, I must say I like seeing Cynthia Nixon in these guest roles she always does a great job also I think out of all the Sex and the City gals she was or is the hottest. In this good episode she played a patient with a mental disorder that makes you want to be hospitalised all the time. It was funny seeing Forman being in charge of House what a difficult job that is :) hmm does House seem to be developing a gambling problem? it would be nice coz he is just so smarter than everyone this would be a nice chink in his armour.

I was looking at the golden globe nominations and I saw a category where all but one of the women nominated were from desperate housewives, now I enjoy desperate housewives but this is overkill. Must be nice to have almost a 99% chance of winning an award. Are there no other shows where other women can have a shot at an award? seems a bit much to have almost all the women of desperate housewives compete against each other.

I watched a bit of Bones and I must say that chick Bones is hot! at first when I looked at her I was like she is ok but upon further evaluation she is looking quite good. The show itself is not that bad although I only watched a bit of it coz it was before House. If it gets separated from House its toast unfortunately.

Boston Legal is an amusing show, doesn't get any better than William Shatner.Denny Crane, Denny Crane. This show has some of the funniest story lines since Ally Mcbeal.Otherwise that chick from ED is looking good as always, still miss Rhona Mitra though man was she sexy phew.Have a good night everybody...

Las Vegas

Well another re run but I enjoyed it. Rachel Leigh Cook is very very cute:) anyway Rihanna or however you spell her name gave a great performance which was nice. Ed quitting at the end was interesting however Monica will have to re hire him as he knows everything about the Montecito better than anyone else. You know as far as super models go Molly Sims does a good job so does Rebecca Romijn for that matter.Golden Globe noms were anounced and I will probably do a post about who I think will win as the awards draw closer.Otherwise see you all later.....

Greys Anatomy and more drivel

Only thing I watched this weekend of note was my favourite show.It had a holiday theme as expected and was so so.We got to find out that Dr.Burke is "spiritual but not religious" interesting to say the least:).Yang as usual does not believe in santa claus or God for that matter which brought out some tense moments between her and Burke.Dr. Shepards wife is still trying to get her husband to get back with her the way things were before. She is attractive and I see him relaxing a bit around her recently, can't really blame him they were and are still married anyway.Alex is struggling not to fail his test again, its nice to see the other interns helping him out even though they think he his a tool. Izzy finally caved and also participated in helping him. There was a funny moment when omalley told the parent of a patient to basically STFU this mother was whining, complaining and finally planning on suing the hospital.Nice to see omalley MAN UP instead of just letting people run him over.

In other news Dreamworks was sold to Viacom, when it first came to gether I really envisioned SKG rolling over the other studios what with Spielbergs moviemaking and Katz cartoon making combined I figured they would wipe the floor with the other studios.Guess sometimes things don't work out as enivisioned. They haven't done badly anyway, the Shrek franchise is worth many millions plus after the AI and The Terminal hiccups Speilberg is back on track with War of the Worlds and the press getting Munich. Funny ancedote about AI and The Terminal they both made over $80mill but coz it was Spielberg they were seen as less than stellar numbers, this just shows how highly Spielberg is thought of infact the only director who is at his level money wise is George Lucas, I would put Martin Scorcese there but his movies for some reason only make dough if they have big time actors. He gets a lot of kudos from critics but always gets the short end of the stick at the oscars.

Speaking of the oscars there should be some good competition for best picture.Dicaprio really needs to get an oscar, not that he needs as he can pick and choose who he wants to work with.I know I know he is seen as a pretty boy but the dude can act in my opinion, The Beach was a highly under rated movie by the way.Tobey Maguire is another dude who is long over due he should go back to the Cider house rules days if he wants that golden man.Spiderman will get him dough but no cigar. Seabiscuit was a great movie,my best part was when Tobey told biscuit to just ride this is when they were so far behind, to see him bolt from dead last and catch up with the other horses was one of the best scenes I have seen, recently anyway. The other was when Cuba Gooding's character in Men of Honour was told to walk up to the judge wearing the diving gear in the courtroom! what a scene that was, if you didn't get choked up you have issues hehe.Funny after watching the Notebook I did not get choked up at all, maybe it was coz of all the hype I had heard about it before I watched it who knows.

In my opinion I think it is more difficult for a male actor to win a best actor than it is for a woman. My thinking comes from seeing Halle berry win for Monsters ball which where I think she did a great job it was controversial and the racial undertones played a big part in the academy giving Halle the oscar.Charlize Theron in that movie where she was a butch murdering lesbian.I think if you are a fairly successful female actress all you need to do is pick a controversial and difficult script and hope the critics like it see Hillary Swank in Boys don't Cry which by the way I thought was the best job I have seen a female actress do in a film, granted am only 24 and I saw her win the oscar before I watched the movie.I was extremely impressed with her performance in that film. There is something about Hillary on screen not sure what it is but I saw it in Boy's don't Cry and Million dollar baby, in my opinion if she did movies like these two she would win the best actress oscar annualy , I just don't see any other actress being on her level. Talk about coming a long way from the next karate kid debacle with the late Mr. Miyagi which was horrible by the way , to now two time best actress winner.

Is there some sought of oscar jinx? since Halle won the oscar the only noteworthy performance is x-men 2, Catwoman? didn't think so. Charlize Theron Aeon Flux? will struggle to make $30mill.Cuba gooding junior? last thing of note I think he did was radio? Men of Honor is still one of the best films I have seen him do.Also there is this perception that once you win the oscar you have made it atleast money wise, well when they released the highest paid women actresses I failed to see Hillary Swank who has won TWO yes TWO oscars, well deserved too I might add.I think the more complete actor has to be Tom Hanks, he can sell tickets and makes boatloads of cash plus he has acting chops with two oscars and was actually robbed of the third for Cast Away, don't get me started on that robbery:).

Tom Cruise is an actor I admire even though he has not gotten a best actor oscar which I believe he could get if he put his mind to it, I mean his movies make him serious coin so money isn't an issue of these days he should pick a good script of serious subject matter get a good director and go from there.Although I wonder if the academy would give it to him, they tend to go with the less in your face actors what with the Kate and Tom spectacle you have to wonder.Wonder how Will Smith felt to see Jamie Fox just bumrush the oscars and blow everyone away with the best oscar win althougth it was a forgone conclusion , what with Jamie winning every award possible before the big kahuna.Am sure he doesn't lose sleep as he has and will make more moolah than fox will ever dream of getting but still at some point you must get used to having bucketloads of cash and will want validation from the academy. Samuel l Jackson is another dude I wish would finally get an oscar atleast a nomination would be great sheesh, he busts his butt always and still no cigar, problem is he does like a billion movies a year hopefully he does one that is critically acclaimed and gets his dues.It was great to see Morgan Freeman get some props, he is too good an actor not to.Clint Eastwood is kicking ass of late what with Mysitc River and Million dollar baby both good movies I enjoyed watching. It was also nice to seee Sean Penn win he is also good although he should have won easily for I am Sam, what a good movie that was wow I was awestruck at how well he played that role.Nice to see evrybody give him a standing O ,in a unrealated matter I used to have a huge crush on his wife when she used to act in a soap called Santa Barbara.

Chris Rock apparently won't be hosting the oscars anytime soon, there were some rumblings that his jokes didn't go over too well with some members of the academy.Come on people you know what you are getting when you ask Rock to host, pity coz he really livened up the festivities last time, sometimes the show is like watching paint dry.It would be funny if they told Dave Chapelle to host now talk about high ratings! they would go through the roof what with the public salivating at seeing him again after he quit his show after two great seasons and the added factor of not knowing how far he would push the envelope would make for brilliant tv.Ok if you have survived through this post you are probably a few years older hehe funny how I was wondering how short this post would be after only watching Greys anatomy this weekend.cya later my fingers are falling apart from all this typing!

The OC

When I log on online I normally check how the shows I watched last night did in the ratings. I happened to find out that The OC ratings were quite low, apparently people are tired of the story lines and I must say I agree. The plot about Jeri Ryan being a con woman was rather lame, although she is a hot mama! Ryan and Marissa squabbles are old news now, they need to freshen this show up as it is getting stale real quick which is quite sad considering its still a relatively new show. Maybe get some extra writers, or get some big name stars to pop in and shake things up.The only reason this show survives is it captures the 18-24 demo and has a nice fan base otherwise if it was about overall ratings it would have been axed some time ago. Some people were comparing this show to Beverly Hills 90210 its not even close , first 90210 had better writing, acting, the thrill of life in BH, and longevity remember it lasted 10 yes 10 years although the last few years were just squeezing all they could from a dying show.Somehow I managed to miss one of the highest rated C.S.I episodes of the season boooooo am sure I will catch a rerun down the road though.

Have a nice weekend everybody....

Las Vegas and Victoria Secret among other things

Apparently we are in rerun heaven, even so I have not watched a lot of this seasons Las Vegas episodes so its all good. This is actually a cool funny hip show that I enjoy but had been neglecting coz of Prison Break. Now that PB is on a break no pun intended hehe I can catch up on all the shenanigans that have been going on at the Montecito. My dad is a general manager of a hotel so I grew up visiting many hotels and I envy someone who is able to stay in a hotel for an unlimited amount of time with no financial panache. What could be better? good food , satellite TV some even have dvd players , room service, ahh one can only dream. I know people will say its better to have a place of your own and much cheaper, however if I could afford to live in a nice 5 star hotel believe me I would.

I see that Dean Cain is alive and well after Lois and Clark and the Scott Peterson movie hehe, he is now the owner of the Montecito.Out of all the babes on this show I like Nikki Cox the most there is something about a woman with curves that I appreciate :). In this episode some school teacher attempted to cheat her way to $10 mill at a poker tournament at the Montecito.Obviously she was unsuccessful but atleast I got to see a lil poker which I enjoy playing. The Ron Jeremy cameo was too funny, speaking of porn you gotta love how people pretend to be disgusted with it but when you look at the numbers, porn makes the same if not more than hollywood movies annually. You have to ask yourself if it is soo bad who the hell is buying movies to tune of almost $8 billion a year? I myself have no qualms with porn, to me its adult entertainment that adults can choose to enjoy or not to.

The victoria secret show was on last night and I enjoyed it obviously :) who can't enjoy seeing Tyra, Giselle, Heidi, among other bevy of beauties sashay their insanely beautiful bodies down the runway with lingerie? I have always enjoyed seals music so it was a treat to see him perform, speaking of seal is there anyone luckier? made millions making music, won a boatload of grammys ,engaged to Heidi Klum wow if I were him I would be smiling like an idiot everyday.I am a Tyra fan so it sucks that she will no longer be modeling victoria secret. Unfortunately the ratings were at an all time low so I even doubt the show will be televised next year.I think the show would do better on cable without parents calling stations and whining that their kids are seeing semi- naked models.News flash! many parents would be surprised at just what their kids have seen, models in lingerie is nothing especially compared to what can easily be accessed online.

In other news apparently Kevin Federline has been kicked to the curb! come on how many didn't see this coming, the unfortunate thing is that Brit just gave birth. What a joke these things are becoming, its come to a point where when a celebrity announces they are engaged we should all lean back and let out a collective yawn and continue with what we were doing. The Jude Law and Sienna Miller thing was also amusing, gotta love cheating on your fiancee with your nanny! If you still fancy banging other babes why get engaged? Then there was the Eric Benet Halle Berry debacle, how you can cheat on Halle is still beyond my comprehension, I mean have you seen swordfish? monsters ball? maybe she wasn't giving it up? no I don't see that at all but you gotta know there are not that many babes as sexy and hot as Halle if any.

Lindsay Lohan, sigh what happened? she was so hot when she had curves but now, not so much lost too much weight although you have to cut her some slack what with the nutty dad, a billion car incidents, she was stressed to say the least!.Nicole Richie is another gal who has dropped waaay to much weight, someone needs to take her to carls junior IMMEDIATELY for atleast a week. She has a pretty face but her body is almost skin and bones nowadays.

The billboard awards were not that good. Gwen and slim thug's performance was dope, Gwen has the best legs I have ever seen wow just wow.Nice to see daddy yankee get to perform that was cool too nice touch of latino flavor.Well that is all ladies and gentlemen good day and good night.

Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy

DH last night was good, with Gabby trying to wrestly her husband Carlos from the sister who is trying to make him a man of God.There were some funny moments like when Susan ran into the wife of her biological father who started throwing all kinds of vegetables at her at a grocery store thinking that Susan was one of many women that her husband was cheating on her with.Bree's taste in men leaves a lot to be desired, apparently the pharmacist she was seeing was a psycho who had a shrine with her panties and even a full fledged doll of her, I wonder what he used the doll for hehe.Look forward to next weeks episode as usual.

Grey's Anatomy was also good, Alex was being ignored by the girls except from Meredith who chatted him up a bit.Its funny how with the advancement of medicine nowadays we still use things like leeches to remove clotted blood, I don't know about letting a leech suck blood from me that's a bit bizarre. One of the quintuplets dying sucked big time. The relationship between Dr.Burke and Wang is funny to watch as they feel each other out, there seems to be a lot of awkward moments between them. This is a series I will feel bad if I miss so its a must see for me from now on.Till tomorrow peeps cya....

The O.C, ER

The O.C was balling as usual, what with everyone deciding where they wanna go to college.Summer giving up and telling her competition to have Seth surprised me I thought she was a fighter!. That surfer dude will get rolled by Ryan soon, only a matter of time before Ryan catches him making the moves on his chick.Talk about going from rags to riches then riches to rags, Ryan's chicks mum ACTUALLY driving a U haul was hilarious. With all this talk of going to college what exactly is going to happen when they ACTUALLY go? I mean Seth and Summer are heading to the east coast while Ryan and his chick are going or plan on going to Berkely will the show end when they go to college? sure hope not coz I have grown to like it especially coz I have followed it from the beginning.I have noticed that if a new show has a nice first episode and hooks me I normally will ride it till it dies i.e continues or is cancelled.

Speaking of cancelled shows I hope you all miss Boomtown the way I do. I though it was one of the best shows out there, It had the approval of the critics and wasn't doing too badly but NBC shut it down which sucked big time. The writing on that show was superb, the way the crimes where seen from all angles was awesome. The C.S.I and Law and Order shows are good but pale in comparison to the writing I saw acted superbly in Boomtown.Another show was Boston Public wow quite possibly the best of David E Kelly's productions.Ok this next one will make you laugh at me but North Shore was actually a fun show to watch. I did not watch it for any great writing more so for Brook Buns er I mean Burns hehe. The location of Hawaii was awesome, wow if I was to come upon a substantial amount of money I would move there immediately and never leave.Reunion which is on its way out also didn't seem too shabby but if you don't connect with an audience to the tune of 12 mill viewers or more you are shown the door quickly.Wow almost forgot about The Guardian this was also a great show Simon Baker was great and his co-star can't remember her name some dark haired beauty , the chemistry between them seemed so real it was a joy to watch.

Speaking of shows ending when The Sopranos comes to an end HBO will suck big time in my opinion what with The Shield ,Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck on FX these shows are doing really well and are great to watch. I will only be watching HBO for Entourage which is quite addictive although the 30min episodes suck big time they should make them one hour in length, come on HBO!ah almot forgot The Wire is also a must see for HBO fans.

ER was not bad with Neela marrying her soldier hehe, man she is cute.Speaking of cute or rather pretty I saw Linda Cordellini or something like that being interviewed by XTRA on TV and she looked stunning. It never ceases to amaze me what a good stylist can do to make you look as hot as ever, not to say that she isn't hot without makeup coz she is sssmoking!!.It was nice to see Dr. Weaver she rarely appears maybe I miss the old gang of Eriq la salle, Noah Wyle, heck even Clooney.Something I find interesting is no matter what they do this ER will never beat the old ER not sure why but that's how I feel.Anyway today I was inspired quite a long post hope you didn't fall asleep wading through the muck cya later......

Lost, Invasion

Lost was awesome as usual, we got to see the completed reel about what the heck was going on in that place.Apparently the computer is not to be used for anything other than inputing the code. Now Mike has used it and is now "apparently" talking to his son Walt.

We also got to see how Kate came to be chased by federal marshals.Apparently she had killed her real dad and her mother told the authorities it was her daughter who did it so the cops were after her hence her being in cuffs in the plane. The funeral for Shannon was good, Sayeed looked like he had lost all hope about everything.Wonder what will happen now that Mike has used the computer for something else other than to input the code.

Invasion was also at an all time best, this episode rocked. We got to see those glowing things attack someone. It was interesting to see that dude with one arm get attacked and come back with both arms functioning properly.I was amazed that he actually agreed to cut his arm after being given a new one, personally I would have told that sheriff dude to go to hell. The ending and also the part where we saw the head of what those things may look like was spooky.Funny how the head looked exactly like the sheriff's head, things will be jumping now that Russel and his bro in law have seen that head and know who it looks like. That was all for last night and I must say it made for some good tv, very rare for two episodes to be good back to back on one network.Till tomorrow adios...............
