The Dead Zone, among other things...

Hello, hope the one person who reads the blog is hanging in there hehe.I finished up season 2 and 3 of The Dead Zone which was very good as expected there are certain shows that are overlooked in my opinion. This show, The 4400, Nip/Tuck, and Rescue Me until recently anyway.

Some casualties are Smith, and Kidnapped two good shows that failed to garner viewers. It seems shows have a very short leash to get viewers or down the toilet they go.Although I hear cost has something to do with it rumors are Smith cost about $3mill per to produce Yikes!.Ray Liotta and Virginia Madsen are bonafide good actors, hope they get other vehicles to be in soon.

Best new shows I have seen so far are, Heroes, Studio 60 even The Nine which was overhyped and is struggling is growing on me.Friday Night Lights is another struggling very well produced shows that you guys and gals are missing out on.Let's see what I watch network to network:-

NBC- Heroes, Deal or no Deal, Studio 60, Friday Night Lights, ER.

CBS- Jericho, wow that's it got tired of the procedurals CSI whatever...

FOX- 24, House , Family Guy that's it

ABC- Lost, The Nine, Grey's Anatomy,Brothers and Sisters, Boston Legal,Men In Trees- seem to like Anne Heche even though she went through some insane phase.

CW- nada although I will be catching up on season 1 and 2 of Veronica Mars after hearing good things about it.

It seems NBC and ABC is where am at not much going on at CBS and FOX.
Movie wise I have watched Lucky Number Slevin which was surprisingly very good, go watch it immediately.Bruce willis, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley you can't go wrong, yummy Lucy Liu and for the gals Josh Hartnett. The story was quite solid as well. Also been watching the baseball playoffs and was not amused to see the Yankees donk out early hope they realise pitching wins in October. All the Arod haters need to STFU if he was on your team you would be drooling at the numbers he puts up annualy. Some suggested they trade Jeter now if you think this is an option feel free to check yourself in at the nearest asylum. The World series is going on and since the Tigers knocked of my yanks GOO CARDS.

Nip/Tuck, United 93, Kidnapped, Smith, Friday Night Lights

Finished up watching season 3 of Nip/Tuck, it was great as usual with the carver carving up peeps, Christian and Kimber shenanigans, Sean and Julia's unravelling, Matt going through a rough time and the very well nutso Ariel with her nutso dad.Overall there was mucho drama all over the place.I like the way this show pushes the boundaries of tv, definitely one of the better shows on tv for sure.Oh and no one is sexier than Kit aka Rhona Mitra hot damn!.

I also watched United 93 which was actually a powerful movie. The emotions of where you were on September 11 and what happened are revisited and even though I knew what was going to happen in the movie I was still transfixed to the screen well after the ending credits.Needless to say it is a day I will never forget.

In other news some shows are already heading to the slaughter house, Smith, Kidnapped.Kidnapped is actually a good show am surprised it never caught on although it's premise was going to be a challenge, too bad they had some talent on that show, Jeremy Sisto, Delroy Lindo, Dana Delaney. The Nine after all the hype didn't do much after Lost and is in trouble if it doesn't get help soon.Speaking of Lost am glad it's back and it's looking good, the writing on this show is top notch and atleast keeps you interested the whole hour. The lights will be going off if Friday Night Lights doesn't perk up, ratings were too low and if it continues to lose viewers goodbye. This just goes to show what I had said earlier about new shows, most of them will either last 13 episodes or go on "HIATUS" never to return or just get canned. This is bad for the viewer who gets attached to a number of the shows, which is why I wait to hear a show has been picked up for the season before committing seriously to watching it on a weekly basis.Speaking of shows the best show ever! What about Brian? is coming back on Monday.ABC did a great job holding it off to see how Studio 60 does but after seeing 60 eroding they feel Brian may get some viewers who are fleeing 60 and hopefully get some from C.S.I Miami. It's amazing how the tv landscape especially basic cable is filled with 50 C.S.I and Law and Orders.TV is serious business.Watch What about Brian? on ABC on Monday at 10/9 central for obvious reasons.
