Get Rich or Die Trying

Well I watched this movie expecting 50 to suck at acting, however he actually did a good job.The film is loosely based on his life prior to becoming a huge success.Joy Bryant looked as hot as ever, the movie was actually enjoyable 8 mile was better but atleast I enjoyed myself.I was surprised it didn't make atleast 100 mill at the boxoffice, I guess he hasn't reached Em status yet although he is well on his way financially anyway.I have been watching the world cup as well and I see Germany meeting Brazil for the cup with Brazil once again winning.Germany has a good chance though with home field advantage and all.Have a nice evening.

The 4400

Well just finished the second season. This show is very good as it is very well written and acted.Hmm I wonder why most of the shows I enjoy are mostly on cable? doesn't matter though cause they are all good. This show works well because it focuses on the characters in great depth and doesn't just dwell on the powers the 4400 possess which I think is refreshing.Hope it continues for many seasons to come, if you haven't checked it out I suggest you do so especially if you are a somewhat sci-fi fan although it's more drama than sci-fi.Have a good day all.

Hells Kitchen, The 4400

I am currently plowing through The 4400 season 2 and so far so good.Sometimes you get tired of the old little green men scenario and like something a tad different, this is in essence The 4400 yes there are people with special abilities but the effects are not over done screwing up the whole concept which is why I enjoy the show.I will then delve into Band of Brothers which unbelieveably I have not yet watched, I hear good things and great things about it plus I remember the show picking up a bunch of awards years ago. I look forward to seeing if they were worth it.

If you want to have a laugh watch Hells Kitchen on Mondays. That chef is so over the top that its just hilarious, telling most of the contestants infact all how much they suck, how donkified they are and utterly useless together with a number of deleted or rather bleeped F-bombs for good measure.Certainly makes for some amusing tv to say the least. The World Cup is also on and after a few lousy games the action is heating up with a few must win games coming up.France is stinking it up so far, they better get thier act together,Brazil also lounges around the first half then decides to wake up in the second half has to watch out as that method will back fire against a top tier team,U.S.A needs to beat Ghana and the Czech's to lose to have a chance,Argentina looks to be the team to beat so far,its funny how soccer hasn't caught on in this country considering how huge it is worldwide.Maybe it is because of the length of the halves with no commercial breaks for ads they see it as a losing ad market? or are people here just not interested in soccer period? I think it could be the latter which is too bad because soccer is a great sport.

Entourage

Wow I just realised how much I had missed this show. This show is very good and very funny.Vince and the boys are a riot plus the hot babe factor on this show is unmatched jeez don't think there is a show or has ever been a show with as much tits and ass as this show and I love it!!.As I watched the episodes I couldn't help but think about the actors who are raking over 20 mill a flick, I mean if Vince and his boys are balling and he is barely making $5 mill a flick can you imagine the amount of balling say a dicaprio does?? must be sick to be making that much dough. This show also show you just how jaded this town is, if you are hot you are the man or woman if you are not no one even wants to glance in your direction.Once again guys if you aren't watching this show you are missing out big time.Again I wish cable did 22 episodes like other networks although it would probably be obscenely expensive although if the show kills it is well worth it in my opinion.I have one more disc to go through then onto the 4400 have a good day.

Rescue Me

Finished watching season two rather quickly. This is one of my fav shows so am not surprised although it's fairly easy to plow through seasons through netflix.com which I highly recommend for the movie fanatic.Denis Leary does a great job on this show its so funny and dramatic at the same time.I must say Tommy does get to make out with some hot mammas Janet and his cousin's wife are quite hot!!.The last episode as expected was very good I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched but rest assured I will be watching season 3 mos def.The only gripe I have with fx shows is that they are too short I wish they had 22 episodes like other shows on other networks that would be heaven indeed.Well Entourage is finally out so I should plow through it by next week till then cya...

A lil Comedy and some lists

Am not much of a comedy watcher as I prefer mostly dramas and thrillers,However sometimes I like to change things up so for three days in a row I watched three comedies.

First one was The Honeymooners featuring Cedric the entertainer, Mike Epps, Gabby Union and John leguizamo. This movie was about two buddies trying to better their family lives through various schemes. The way they attempted these schemes was pure comedy with them trying to win the lotto, dance for money, buy an old train situated underground, pretending to be blind to collect money. All in all am a big fan of Cedric as I think he is hilarious so that's primarily why I wanted to watch this film.If you are a Ced fan give this a shot you will be entertained atleast I was.

Second one was Guess Who? featuring Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. This one was part romantic comedy as it dealt with the relationship between Bernie and Ashton's relationships with their women. There was plenty of laughs especially when Bernie's daughter who was actually Ashton's girlfriend was introduced to the family. There was much hilarity as Bernie struggled to deal with the fact that his daughter was dating a caucasian.Bernie is a funny dude and I found myself laughing a lot in this flick, I would recommend it for some laughs.

Third one was Bad Santa which by far was the funniest of the trio. This one starred Billy Bob, Bernie mac, late John Ritter and a african american dwarf. The movie was about Billy Bob's character as possibly the most vile santa ever, he cursed, drank too much, banged as many chicks as he could, oh and he was also a thief who robbed the stores he worked at with help from the dwarf. Now the dwarf actually had the worst insults possible, he had me in stitches the whole time. The hot babe factor was represented quite well by Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls fame. She is quite the gal and would like to see more of her if you get my drift:).

Sometimes I think its nice to change things up and watch some lighter fare although I like deep, heavy movies that leave me thinking long after the movie ends. The problem with comedies atleast for me is that I barely remember them once am done, they will often entertain me for the duration of their running time and then bam I never think of them again.I guess that's their purpose, entertain you for an hour and a half and then back to reality you go.Am currently plowing through the second season of Rescue Me and just realised how much I missed this show it is both dramatic and funny.Don't you think its funny how a small cable network like FX has 3 of the best shows on tv? The shield, Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me.Infact I will go ahead and list the best shows on tv network and cable lets go:-

1. The Shield- nothing comes close...
2. The Sopranos- best mob family ever will suck when it ends
3.The Wire- most underrated show out there.
4.Nip/tuck- very daring stretches its cable boundaries quite well.
5.Rescue Me- Denis Leary is hilarious and dramatic at the same time.
6.24- Jack Bauer, Brian Grazer.Nothing else needs to be said.
7.Grey's Anatomy- relative new comer hopefully lasts as long or longer than ER.
8.Lost- nice show with many plots and twists.
9.ER- longtime fave still watch it to this day although it OWNED when it had the original cast.
10.Curb Your Enthusiasm-Larry David is nuts in a good way.

Honourable mention goes to:-

1.Prison Break- nice new show lets see if next season jumps it into best shows.
2.CSI- original PWNS all.
3.Without a Trace- only show of its kind out there does very well.
4.American Idol- funny to see delusional people try to make the show, usually produces some talent even though I would probably never buy their cd's.
5.Boston Legal-Denny Crane and some hot lawyer chicks that is all.
6.Deal or no deal- Funny to watch people get greedy and leave with peanuts.Good show overall, longevity remains to be seen if it doesen't burn out.

What were they thinking canceling these shows:-

1.Boomtown-cancelled waaaaay to early had promise.
2.Boston Public-Quite possibly the best drama on fox ever before 24.
3.The Practice-actually was ended due to rising costs.Boston Legal will never come close to being as good as this show was.
4.Conviction-recently axed seemed to be a good show but given a friday lauching pad was not a good idea for a show with young good looking cast.
5.Everwood- Quite possibly the best drama ever to be on the now defunct WB.
6.E-ring - I actually started liking this show although it had some hiccups I think it would have worked with a few tweaks here and there.

Wow I was actually wondering what this entry was going to be about but sometimes when am typing stuff just materialises and I continue flowing hopefully none of you have fallen asleep yet:) see you next time stay safe.
