A lil Comedy and some lists

Am not much of a comedy watcher as I prefer mostly dramas and thrillers,However sometimes I like to change things up so for three days in a row I watched three comedies.

First one was The Honeymooners featuring Cedric the entertainer, Mike Epps, Gabby Union and John leguizamo. This movie was about two buddies trying to better their family lives through various schemes. The way they attempted these schemes was pure comedy with them trying to win the lotto, dance for money, buy an old train situated underground, pretending to be blind to collect money. All in all am a big fan of Cedric as I think he is hilarious so that's primarily why I wanted to watch this film.If you are a Ced fan give this a shot you will be entertained atleast I was.

Second one was Guess Who? featuring Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. This one was part romantic comedy as it dealt with the relationship between Bernie and Ashton's relationships with their women. There was plenty of laughs especially when Bernie's daughter who was actually Ashton's girlfriend was introduced to the family. There was much hilarity as Bernie struggled to deal with the fact that his daughter was dating a caucasian.Bernie is a funny dude and I found myself laughing a lot in this flick, I would recommend it for some laughs.

Third one was Bad Santa which by far was the funniest of the trio. This one starred Billy Bob, Bernie mac, late John Ritter and a african american dwarf. The movie was about Billy Bob's character as possibly the most vile santa ever, he cursed, drank too much, banged as many chicks as he could, oh and he was also a thief who robbed the stores he worked at with help from the dwarf. Now the dwarf actually had the worst insults possible, he had me in stitches the whole time. The hot babe factor was represented quite well by Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls fame. She is quite the gal and would like to see more of her if you get my drift:).

Sometimes I think its nice to change things up and watch some lighter fare although I like deep, heavy movies that leave me thinking long after the movie ends. The problem with comedies atleast for me is that I barely remember them once am done, they will often entertain me for the duration of their running time and then bam I never think of them again.I guess that's their purpose, entertain you for an hour and a half and then back to reality you go.Am currently plowing through the second season of Rescue Me and just realised how much I missed this show it is both dramatic and funny.Don't you think its funny how a small cable network like FX has 3 of the best shows on tv? The shield, Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me.Infact I will go ahead and list the best shows on tv network and cable lets go:-

1. The Shield- nothing comes close...
2. The Sopranos- best mob family ever will suck when it ends
3.The Wire- most underrated show out there.
4.Nip/tuck- very daring stretches its cable boundaries quite well.
5.Rescue Me- Denis Leary is hilarious and dramatic at the same time.
6.24- Jack Bauer, Brian Grazer.Nothing else needs to be said.
7.Grey's Anatomy- relative new comer hopefully lasts as long or longer than ER.
8.Lost- nice show with many plots and twists.
9.ER- longtime fave still watch it to this day although it OWNED when it had the original cast.
10.Curb Your Enthusiasm-Larry David is nuts in a good way.

Honourable mention goes to:-

1.Prison Break- nice new show lets see if next season jumps it into best shows.
2.CSI- original PWNS all.
3.Without a Trace- only show of its kind out there does very well.
4.American Idol- funny to see delusional people try to make the show, usually produces some talent even though I would probably never buy their cd's.
5.Boston Legal-Denny Crane and some hot lawyer chicks that is all.
6.Deal or no deal- Funny to watch people get greedy and leave with peanuts.Good show overall, longevity remains to be seen if it doesen't burn out.

What were they thinking canceling these shows:-

1.Boomtown-cancelled waaaaay to early had promise.
2.Boston Public-Quite possibly the best drama on fox ever before 24.
3.The Practice-actually was ended due to rising costs.Boston Legal will never come close to being as good as this show was.
4.Conviction-recently axed seemed to be a good show but given a friday lauching pad was not a good idea for a show with young good looking cast.
5.Everwood- Quite possibly the best drama ever to be on the now defunct WB.
6.E-ring - I actually started liking this show although it had some hiccups I think it would have worked with a few tweaks here and there.

Wow I was actually wondering what this entry was going to be about but sometimes when am typing stuff just materialises and I continue flowing hopefully none of you have fallen asleep yet:) see you next time stay safe.
