E-ring, Lost, Invasion

Am glad E- ring is starting to fight for survival, it's a really well written and acted show as expected from uber producer Jerry Bruckheimer.Major T and the attorney's chemistry is starting to simmer which is good considering Major's girlfriend died last week.I think sometimes a show as intense as E-ring with the military jargon needs the love interest angle to hook viewers mixed in with some light eye candy a la JAG.Jerry got tired of making 100 million dollar blockbusters and decided to give TV a shot and as evidenced by CSI,WITHOUT A TRACE,CSI MIAMI,CSI NY and now E-ring the rest is history!Dick Wolf looked behind his shoulder and saw Jerry coming, I think it's safe to say Jerry is winning the AMAZING RACE no pun intended :).

Lost is OWNING as usual, what a well written and acted show, I like the way its the only kind of show out there that has really rich story lines and has a lot of meat and less fat than other shows. We got to see what happened to the other survivors in this episode.I wonder what the dudes on the island want from the survivors and more importantly what the heck are they doing on an island in the middle of nowwhere? Its things like these that make you watch the show every week as you try to unravel what the OTHERS are about hopefully we will be satisfied with what we find out.Sometimes the anticipation for something truly grand is so high that it is easy to feel let down when the story concludes.

Invasion is a show i have watched from the beginning although i have missed an episode. The mystery of what happened to those people who survived the hurricane with no injuries continues, for some reason they seem to like water and are often seen with creepy calmness.Should be interesting to see what develops as we find out what those yellow shining gadgets are in the water.Show seems to be benefiting a lil bit too much from the Lost lead in, for it to survive a couple more seasons it will need to develop its own fan base especially if it is separated from Lost.

Anyone notice how the party of five crew is being represented on TV nowadays? Mathew fox in Lost, Jennifer love hewitt in Ghost Whisperer, Scott Wolf in Everwood. Its nice to see them all doing well sometimes i notice when actors finish a successful series they often try the movie route and fail or disappear entirely probably living on the royalty checks from reruns.

I wish a series about UFO'S would be made, I am a big fan of such shows, I enjoyed the series TAKEN on the SCI-FI channel immensely, i thought it was very well written and acted although with Steven Spielberg directing i figured it was going to hit a home run and boy did it.Monster ratings for the SCI-FI channel.I also miss The X-Files Mulder and Scully where such a great couple i think i have watched a billion rereuns already. The movie kicked ass and i hope they make another one or atleast a series similar to The X-Files is made although the probability of it being as good or better is slim.I have also noticed that casting is a great and important part of a series or movie, get a well written movie or series and crappy actors and your show or movie will suck big time. The public is not easily fooled as some of these networks and production companies may think, as seen by the series coupling, a billion sequels no one wanted to see, see the whole ten yards.

I like reading books and am a big fan of Robert Ludlum.I have watched the Bourne series so far and am very impressed, Matt Damon is a very good Jason Bourne and am glad the public agrees with me and is watching them with me.I hope they continue to make the Bourne series until the last one which was written by Eric Van Lustbader who kicks major ass as an author, I highly recommend the novels The Ninja, White Ninja,The Shan among others.I wonder if they can make any of his books into movies, I would be first in line to watch them all.Speaking of Matt Damon anyone think he is leaving his buddy Affleck in the dust he must have a good agent or a keen eye coz he rarely picks movies that suck and if he does there is always the next Bourne flick to restore order:)

Well i have managed to ramble on and on, probably should have written another post but i like that my titles always end or include extra meat in them:) that's all folks see ya very soon........
